Introducing Colette Russell, Registered Manager

Leading our Kendal Care Team with Compassion and Expertise

Our Kendal home care team is led by our dedicated Registered Manager, Colette Russell, who brings with her extensive experience in the health and social care sector. With a strong commitment to ensuring people receive the highest quality of care, Colette works closely with the NHS and Cumbria County Council to facilitate seamless transitions from hospital to private nursing care at home.

For Colette, the importance of quality in-home care is deeply personal. Witnessing her father's journey with MS and dementia has given her a profound understanding of the challenges faced by those in need of private care, as well as their families, she says "almost 20 years have passed since I started my journey as a Home Carer. Fast forward to today and I'm now the Registered Manager at Eden Country Care. Our carers currently support my Dad who suffers from MS and dementia. Seeing Dad deteriorate is hard but it helps me empathise with our clients and families. I think so much of our home carers and I’m very thankful, I know from a very personal position the difference they make".

Drawing on this firsthand experience, Colette brings empathy and insight to her role as Registered Manager, ensuring that our client's preferences and wishes are always respected and incorporated into their care plans.

Maintaining open lines of communication is a priority for Colette, who values close contact with our clients and their families. She is readily available to discuss any aspect of their care and strives to create a supportive environment where concerns can be addressed with compassion and understanding.
