Castle Street Community Centre is based right in the heart of Kendal Town Centre with facilities for hire and with a diverse list of groups and clubs attending the centre there is a great deal on offer all in one location. It has a number of activities available from learning a new language to Yoga or the U3A group. 

Beck Community Centre is situated in the South East of Kendal. It serves a community of approximately 6000 residents on the Heron Hill, Valley Drive and Kendal Parks housing estates. The centre is well used by regular groups including bowling and a friendly group for older people. 

Kendal Day Care Services

Horticare is a community-based day service for adults with learning disabilities. Through social and therapeutic horticulture, service users can develop skills such as responsibility, independence, and social inclusion. Horticare provides a range of activities including landscape maintenance, plant nursery production, special interest and educational courses, IT training, health and safety skills, and social outings. Horticare is open year-round for plant sales and available for garden maintenance work.

Daybreak is a daytime support service for people with severe, long, and enduring mental ill health in Kendal. It offers a friendly and supportive environment where users can benefit from peer group support, social interaction, practical help and guidance, and functional activities. Activities offered at Daybreak include swimming, snooker, walking, picnics, quizzes, crafts, bus trips to other towns, Christmas shopping, and county show, and people can also receive help and advice from support staff.

Kendal Older Adults Day Service offers an opportunity for older people to attend a warm and welcoming centre designed to provide personalised care and support tailored to individual users' 

The service aims to improve the quality of life for individuals attending by building new friendships and by giving the opportunity for people to get extra support with some daily tasks such as assisted bathing and hairdressing. Nutritious hot meals are provided, and snacks are available throughout the day. Activities are designed to support people to maintain their independence, encourage self-help skills, and help people to remain within their own homes for longer. Staff aim to support meaningful and engaging activities with other users to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
